DOYLE’S CASEBOOK TRILOGY REVIEWS

An interesting set of short stories; takes me back to the Micky Spillane era.

I really enjoyed reading these books, and I especially liked Doyle and his friend Mac, feeling you had created and described real-life characters. I liked the introduction explaining who Doyle was and the short story format suited my style of reading. I would love to read more about the Mafia family you featured in the books as I believe they will make ideal reading, but written again in the same short story format. Thanks a great read throughout.

I wasn’t that sure about these books as I have ready many crime stories but I was pleasantly surprised. The characters were well described and although the stories were short they were full of detail that was relevant to the story and the era. If you want something light hearted that is crime based then this trilogy has to be for you.

What an interesting viewpoint on an old format of the ex-copy turned PI. It is a pity the author appears to have only written 3 books and may not continue the series as I really enjoyed them. Maybe it’s because although the stories and crimes involved are well thought out they are not too gory for me and that is something I prefer. Well done.

A great way of looking at the ex-cop turned PI angle. Light-hearted but with some good storylines that made them enjoyable reading. I really want more please.
